Mud Kitchen 120cm

The Mud Kitchen 120cm is the kitchen most families choose: big enough for two or three children to cook side by side, compact enough for any patio or lawn. It is handcrafted to order from top-quality solid spruce, sanded smooth and splinter-free, then hand-painted in a specialist outdoor acrylic that is weatherproof, non-toxic and safe for ages 3 and up. There is no chipboard or MDF anywhere in it, because both swell and crumble the first time they get properly wet.

Two real stainless steel bowls lift straight out for filling, sloshing and cleaning, which is the detail that decides how much a mud kitchen actually gets used. A moulded dip in a worktop holds standing water and cannot be emptied; these come out, get carried, get tipped and go back. Four painted burners with chunky wooden knobs invite pretend cooking, the rail with hooks keeps spoons, whisks and ladles where small chefs can reach them, and the full-width shelf underneath stores pots, pans and treasure.

At 120 cm it suits children from around age 3 to age 8 comfortably, and older children keep using it. If three or more children will regularly play at once, or there is a wide age gap between them, the 150 cm model is worth the extra £30.

Delivery and care

Free tracked delivery anywhere on the UK mainland, kerbside by pallet courier, within 7 to 14 days of ordering. It arrives fully assembled: there is no flat pack, no bag of dowels and no lost afternoon. Left outdoors it wants a fresh coat of exterior wood care every one to two years, and the sinks tipped out at the end of play.
