This policy explains how Vasto Divani Limited, trading as Mud Kitchen Expert (“we”), handles your personal data when you use mudkitchenexpert.co.uk. We are the data controller. Contact: sales@mudkitchenexpert.co.uk.
What we collect and why
- Order data (name, address, email, phone, items bought): to fulfil your order and meet legal record-keeping duties. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.
- Payment data: processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers. Legal basis: contract.
- Enquiries: your name, email and message when you contact us, so we can reply. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Live chat: your name, email and the messages you send in the chat window, so we can answer you. Messages are delivered to our staff through Telegram. Legal basis: legitimate interest. If you tick the optional box in the chat, we also add you to our email list and you can unsubscribe in one click; legal basis for that is your consent. We never add you to marketing email just because you started a chat.
- Newsletter: your email, only with your consent, managed through Mailchimp. Unsubscribe any time with one click.
- Analytics and advertising cookies: only with your consent given via the cookie banner (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta). See our Cookie Policy.
Who we share data with
Couriers (to deliver your order), Stripe (payments), Mailchimp (newsletter), Google and Meta (analytics and advertising, consent-based), Telegram (to pass live chat messages to the person answering), and our hosting provider. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Order records: 6 years (tax law). Enquiries: up to 2 years. Live chat transcripts: 180 days, then deleted automatically; the enquiry record itself (name, email, page) up to 2 years. Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing, by emailing sales@mudkitchenexpert.co.uk. You can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
