How It All Began
Mud Kitchen Expert is a brand built by Simon, developed with the support of family and friends. The inspiration to create outdoor play equipment for children came from a deep admiration for children’s curiosity, sensitivity and desire to discover the world around them.
An idea born in a creative mind, brought to life by talented hands guided by both the brain and the heart.
“I clearly remember the first mud kitchen we made for our daughter, who was just 2.5 years old at the time. The wonder in her eyes. The desire to get stuck in. The determination to achieve something. You never forget a moment like that. That was when the thought hit me: ‘I wonder if other people would want a kitchen like this?’”

Born During Lockdown 2020
When the world stood still in 2020, Simon got to work in the garage. What started as a passion project became something much bigger. Drawing on a family tradition of woodworking spanning over 50 years, each mud kitchen is crafted with the same care and precision that has been passed down through generations.
From a garage workshop to a dedicated production space in Bognor Regis, every single piece that leaves our workshop is made to the same uncompromising standard, built to last through years of outdoor play, rain, mud and memories.
