Short answer
Brighton and Hove is our home patch: the workshop showroom is in Bognor Regis, about 45 minutes along the coast, so families here can see every size and colour in person before ordering. Delivery across Sussex is free, fully assembled, within 7 to 14 days. Two local notes: salt air is no problem for the outdoor acrylic finish but makes the annual re-coat worth doing properly, and chalky Downs soil drains fast, which makes lawns here friendlier to mud kitchens than almost anywhere.
Most of our city pages are written from a distance. This one is not: Sussex is where we are, and Brighton families have the one option nobody else gets, seeing the kitchens before buying.
Visit the showroom first
The showroom at 21 Station Road, Bognor Regis is 40 to 50 minutes from Brighton by car or an easy train ride along the coast line. Every size is there to lean on, every colour to see in daylight, and children are very welcome to test-drive the sinks. Visits are by appointment Monday to Saturday, details on the showroom page. If you are choosing between two colours, this beats any screen.
Seaside conditions, honestly
Coastal notes
| Salt air | No issue for the outdoor acrylic or stainless sinks; it is hard on cheap plain-steel fixings, which ours are not |
|---|---|
| Wind | Brighton gardens catch it; stand the kitchen against a fence or wall, out of the prevailing south-westerly |
| Chalk soil | Drains fast, so lawns here tolerate a mud kitchen better than clay cities; slabs under the feet still best |
| Sun | South-coast light is strong; deep colours hold best, and the annual re-coat keeps any colour honest |
The annual care routine matters slightly more on the coast, and it is still only a couple of hours: wash, dry, touch up worn edges. The whole job is in the weatherproofing guide.
From Kemptown yards to Downs-edge gardens
Brighton housing runs from tight terraced yards in Hanover, brilliant homes for the 120 cm with storage, to family houses in Fiveways, Hove Park and Patcham where the 150 cm fits and fills with visiting friends. Balconies in the big seafront conversions work too, with a dry mix, the small-spaces guide covers the setup.
Sussex settings, minimal lead time
Being local cuts the practical friction for nurseries and childminders across Brighton, Hove, Worthing, Shoreham and Lewes: invoicing, multi-unit quotes, and delivery from just along the coast. The 150 cm with storage is the settings default, and the risk assessment template is free either way.
Frequently asked questions
Can I see a mud kitchen before buying near Brighton?
Yes. Our showroom in Bognor Regis, 21 Station Road, is about 45 minutes from Brighton, with every size and colour on display. Visits are by appointment, Monday to Saturday, and children are welcome to try everything.
Does salt air damage a wooden mud kitchen?
Not one built properly. Outdoor acrylic paint and stainless sinks and fixings shrug off coastal air; it is plain-steel screws on budget kitchens that streak with rust by the sea. Do the annual re-coat of worn edges and a coastal kitchen lasts like any other.
How fast is delivery to Brighton and Sussex?
The same 7 to 14 days as everywhere, each kitchen is handcrafted to order first, delivered free, fully assembled, kerbside. Sussex deliveries come from just along the coast, so timing within the window tends to run early.
